Designer sneakers made by “The Carrie Diaries” author Rebecca Sugar have inspired a series of custom designs by the creator of the hit show, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The design, which is set to launch on Feb. 26, features a stylized silhouette inspired by Sugar’s own design style.
“This was inspired by her own style, but also by the style of the shoes,” Sugar told the Wall St. Journal.
“The style is very much her own.”
Sugar’s shoe has been designed by American shoe company Stella McCartney.
The shoes are expected to retail for $300, according to the Wall Streeter.
The “Cougar Town” author also tweeted a few of her own creations, including a pair of “Candyman” sandals, which she says were inspired by the show.
The designer also created a “Cousin” shoe with a retro feel inspired by Sweet’s favorite candy: “Cotton Candy” candy bars.
Sweet said she’s been inspired by a number of popular shows and movie characters, including the “Criminal Minds” and “Clerks,” as well as the “Gossip Girl” and the “Avengers” series.
The book and movie series has been renewed for a third season, and is slated to return in 2018.
